Dn. Michael Hyatt
Dn. Michael is currently the Executive Chair of St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary and the former Chair of Ancient Faith Ministries where he served for more than twenty years.
He spent most of his professional career in the book publishing industry, most recently as the Chairman and CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers. When the company was sold to Harper-Collins in 2011, he left to found Full Focus, whose mission is to equip goal-minded individuals, business owners, and leaders of the world’s largest companies with the resources they need to accelerate their performance.
In the last decade, the company has coached more than a thousand business leaders and impacted more than one million people with the Full Focus Planner. It has grown over sixty percent year over year for the past four years. Full Focus has been featured in the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in America and in 2020 and 2021 the company was named to Inc.’s Best Work Places list.
Dn. Michael is also the author of several New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling books, including Living Forward, Your Best Year Ever, Free to Focus, The Vision Driven Leader, and Win at Work and Succeed at Life. He has been married for over forty-four years to his wife Gail, has five daughters, and ten grandchildren.
Dn. Michael was ordained a deacon in 1987. Since that time, he has served at St. Ignatius Antiochian Orthodox Church in Franklin, TN.
